Missing LUGGAGE

For the first time in 32 years when I decided to change route from Cebu Mactan connecting flight to Australia to Bacolod Silay International Airport connecting flight to Brisbane Australia. My Luggage went missing and until now Manila PAL Baggage can't find it because the said my Baggage number isn't registered in the computer. Now the question is, how could I have given a computer Baggage print number, attached to my boarding pass and to my luggage if not been registered and scan in the computer? It seems to me someone stole my suitcase and delete the information in the computer. God how's that possible? That's the worst ever experience I'm having now flying PAL from Bacolod Silay Airport.

Missing Baggage Number; 873557

Reference. Number; BNEPR10166

SOMEONE KNOWS WHAT HAPPENES TO MY SUITCASE. PLEASE HELP.

CUSTOMER Service is Very bad at this airport.

Staff are not accommodating, They are also not calibrated on their rules and regulations.I hope they properly train their staff , Train them about good customer service , especially the staff ( the old guy ) who checks luggage xray - Very RUDE!!!!!. Also train them to treat people equally, they treat foreigners better than filipinos, parepareho lahat nagbabayad ng terminal fee niyo . Please be considerate & courteous and helpful to others, lalo na sa mga kapwa nila Pilipino na di alam ang gagawin sa airport or mga 1st timers . Ive been to other airports and customer service is good.

Sana may suggestion box or feedback box - or customer service survey sa airport na ito..

The C.R.'s at Bacolod Airport

Can someone tell me why the washroom's/c.r.'s at Bacolod Airport are disgustingly dirty, outdated, have broken down plumbing, poor or none existent air conditioning? There should also be a maximum amount allowed to be charged by the taxi's from the airport to down town. 500 php is outrageous. 300 php is more reasonable.

xray luggage not monitor properly

I took the last flight from Bacolod to Manila on Jan 27, 2015, while waiting for my flight I did notice the lady who supposed to be in charge for luggage xray was busy with her phone instead of monitoring the xray. For 3 hours she spent more time on her phone than doing her job properly. Is our airport safe?????

To the Guard on duty dated June 9, 2014 (time 12:30 pm - 2:0

Unfortunately, my maid did not allowed to enter nor attend to her flight.

I called Cebu Pacific Airline if I can re-book it or cancel it or refund it but I was forfeited already. Because of the "Piece of Paper" I've lost money.

To the Guard on duty dated June 9, 2014 (time 12:30 pm - 2:0

I am writing this to the Administrators of Bacolod-Silay International Airport, especially to the guard on duty. Please be considerate & courteous and helpful to others, mostly to the people who don't know what to do in a place like this (Airport).

An incident happened today, June 9, 2014 around 12:30 to 2:00pm. My maid was scheduled for flight going to Manila via Cebu Pacific Airline. She arrived at the Bacolod-Silay Airport at 12:40pm with valid I.D. w/ photo, unfortunately she do not have a print copy of Cebu Pacific Itinerary & Official receipt (since I'm the one who made online booking & payment). She don't know how to use computer neither don't know where is the computer shop. I instructed her to write it in a clean paper the Confirmation no.; Transaction ID, Official Receipt and other details of her flight. When she showed it to the guard on duty at the entrance (airport), the guard told her that he need the computer print-out of the documents, my maid replied that she don't have & don't know how, she ask if she can talk to Cebu Pacific customer service to help her but the guard refused to that. I talked to my maid and ask her to give her phone to the Guard on duty so I can talk to him but he also refused and said "baka naloloko lang daw sya or ako". What is the purpose of this piece of papers when in fact the β€œCheck-in counter” will produce the Original Plane Ticket. What if a Foreigner with the same problem, ano kaya ang gagawin ng Guard on Duty? Please help our kababayan?

Thank you.

International Flight to Bacolod?

Hi, I am a Singaporean and really like to know if there are plans for Bacolod Airport going international.

I have to fly to Bacolod about 4/5 times a year and presently have to transit at Manila or Cebu. In fact, Cebu Pacific Airlines has direct flight between Singapore and Iloilo since 2013. Bacolod being the top 10 cities in Philippines should have an international airport soon.

Thank you

gilmercedesmontilla@yahoo.com

Pres Erap knew its importance and we had the advantage but we just let go of it , lousy local politicians made it difficult for it to happen because they think putting it in Silay spells doom to bacolod , such thinking is for unprogressive people, they never thought that someday Silay would be part of a metropolitan bacolod, and they let our rival city with their senator son make a good head start making it more difficult so the rest was history and made us second fiddle all the way to the end

Bacolod-Silay General Airport, Negros Occidental, Philippine

The Bacolod Airport was closed in January 2008, with the opening of the New Bacolod-Silay General Airport. This moved all the operations of the airport to a location approximately 25km northeast of Bacolod City. The danger of over-runs into a major population area was eliminated with this move. As well as allowing for the more frequent landing and departing of aircraft, as noise issues have been eliminated.

By the way, when could be the time that there's a flight direct from New York to Bacolod-Silay Airport? I just hate going to Manila, nothing good to see, masyado kagamo, kagagmay sang mga dalan. Even a stop over on Hongkong or Japan basta direct to Bacolod-Silay ang next flight it will be a great welcome

Picture of

CCTV CAMERAS

ARE THERE CCTV CAMERAS AT YOUR AIRPORT? BECAUSE MY PHONE WAS LOST LAST JANUARY 06, 2013. AND THE STAFFS CAN'T EVEN HELP ME TO FIND MY PHONE! WHAT KIND OF AIRPORT IS THIS!

Lengthening of the runway

Common sense tells that as long as the runway is SHORT and cannot accommodate larger planes with more passengers, no airline will land international flights to Bacolod-Silay Airport, because it will not be commercially profitable! What are those who are in charge of the Bacolod-Silay Airport waiting for? LENGTHEN THE RUNWAY AND NEGOTIATE WITH THE AIRLINES!

Picture of

Lack of Flights

i hope bacolod-silay city international airport add direct flights to/from davao and general santos to ease the difficulties to find a flight here in negros occidental.

i hope also bacolod-silay city international airport have a direct flights to/from hongkong and singapore.

Comment on Bacolod-Silay Airport

The Bacolod-Silay Airport is a domestic airport, however it was designed to international standards and extending the runway is very feasible because the site was planned to accommodate this. Further the passenger terminal may be retrofitted to have features to meet demands for additional passengers,customs/immigration offices among others to cater to international flights in the future.

Picture of

re: re: What made Bacolod-Silay Airport and "International"?

yes it is a wasted opportunity they should just go ahead & extend the runway say 700 meters and a new international terminal and they will come ,, the turists with a year of aggresive international advertizing at times the new facility will be full like in october for the famous massaara BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME !

V- Hire @ Taxi Fares

Can the government regulate the fares of V-Hire vans from Bacolod City to the airport ( and vice versa). The current fares in going to the airport via V-hire vans from SM terminal is P100.00 pesos which has the distance of only around 22 kilometers. While going to the city from the airport is P150 pesos which is really to much!!! Those taxi drivers also waiting outside the arrival area demanded extremely high fares, they don't to use the meter on their taxi! So sad that these kind of people creates a bad impression in your airport at saka ang babastos pa ng mga drivers!!! I just don't like the way they transact business with the passengers.

I think it is better that the government shall provide a shuttle service for the passengers with a reasonable fare...

International?

Bacolod-Silay International Airport will indeed be true to its name if there will be international flights to Bacolod-Silay Airport, because of a steady stream of tourists, businessmen, sportsmen and students, etc, who will come to Negros. Surely the opportunities are abundant, though hotels and lodging facilities, etc. need to be upgraded to international standards. Bacolod is quite clean. There is a need for aggressive advertisement to these effect. But until now the airport runway is short! The aircon in the pre-departure area does not work! The pre-departure area is quite small compared to the volume of passengers, thus it is crowded! Should there not be an annex building? What happened to the approved plan to extend the runway by 500 meters to accommodate the bigger Airbus 330? At present the runway length is even shorter than that of Cagayan de Oro!

What does the latest census or survey say as to what countries the visitors to Negros come from? Then the international budget airlines can link Bacolod to those countries/cities.

re: What made Bacolod-Silay Airport and "International"?

Picture of

re: What made Bacolod-Silay Airport and "International"?

Bacolod-Silay was built to "international" standards, hence the designation "International". But it is only domestic airport. Depending on where you are booking from, generally, the gateway to the Philippines is through Manila. There are regional flights landing at Clark, some miles north of Manila and also at Cebu, central Philippines.

So far, Bacolod-Silay needs a runway lengthening to be able to accommodate long range, heavy jets like the B747 or the A-340. That is why there are no direct international flights coming into BCD. Clark and Cebu are former US airbases and are long enough to accommodate even a C-5.

Some airlines have codeshare agreements with Philippine Airlines and Cebu-Pacific which allow them to book seats giving the impression that they fly into those cities but these are actually fulfilled by the local airline counterparts. I hope I was able to address your question.

What made Bacolod-Silay Airport and "International"?

I am a resident abroad and when my company book a flight for me it all boils down to Manila Airport only or Termninal, 1, 2 or 3; but never Bacolod. Their reason is because Bacolod-Silay is not an international airport but a domestic airport only. Is Cathay pacific, Qatar, Emirates, Gulf Air, Lufthansa and other international carriers landed or departed Bacolod-Silay International Airport yet?

re: departed aircraft

According to Wikipedia, Air Philippines, Cebu Pacific, and Philippine Airlines offer flights between Bacolod City and Manila, while Cebu Pacific and PAL Express offer flights between Bacolod City and Cebu.
