It's 'Riem' not 'Reim'
It is pronunced like english 'reim', but in german, it is written 'Riem' or 'München-Riem'.
Nice field close to Frankfurt
Strange combination of a CTR and uncontrolled field. Radar information comes from EDDF in the CTR but no positive control; only information for the guys in the tower. No ILS. Have to cancel when the field is in view. Had some horrific crashes on the approach from the east due to a rise in a forest that is basically invisible. Awesome restaurant and pleasant ground staff. S-Bahn takes you to downtown Frankfurt in about 30 minutes and EDDF is only a few minutes away with train or taxi. Home to Netjets.
Airbus Industries
The is an airport only for Airbus Industries bringing in parts from Toulouse. Generally, it is not a public airport.

RAF Brüggen
This was RAF Brüggen, now Brüggen AB, not Brugge, which is near the coast in Belgium.
Several of the Harrier Field LZs are visible to the W-SW, with ranges in the forests to the north.

Google's satellite pictures of Leipzig/Halle airport are outdated (and have been for years now), so to see correct orientation of this airport's southern runway (08R/26L) use map view.

The field is only a few km from nice beaches.
Runway 27 downwards a bit, but runways always cut like a golf field!

It looks like the foundations for the approach light system to me.

In the satellite image, there is a small section of runway remaining at the eastern edge of the development, beyond this there appears to be shadows which at first glance look like a continuation of the central markers, any ideas what this is? (zoom right in)

When will it be referred to by its correct name: Airport Weeze (EDLV)? It is no longer RAF Laarbruch, nor is it Niederrhein Aiport, nor is it in Goch. It belongs to the City of Weeze.

Do you know if this airport has a flight school? If so, do you know if it accepts American citizens or do I have to be a German citizen?
