World airport problem reports

Danger of fenced sheep on the runway. Someone has posted a picture on a local Facebook group 'Pu Buško' of the sheep being fenced in specifically on the west end of the runway. I sincerely hope they have already removed them.

Runways don't make sense. 09-27, and also 27-09 ... ?

Wonder if someone tried to indicate a displaced threshold by creating a second runway layout...?

This is nowhere near Worthington Springs, despite being the correct lat/long on AirNav (which means yet again the FAA database itself is very wrong). I strongly suspect this is a duplicate of Flying Tiger Field, because there are no other airfields within 15 miles of Worthington Springs.

it is stated this airport has no scheduled service, however according to wikipedia there are commercial airlines operating flights to/from OAJ, tickets from OAJ can be booked with American Airlines for example. Can scheduled_service value be reviewed please?

Slightly odd name choice in use of \ not / in the name. Care to ask the airport if they'd like to switch the angle of their slash?

Why? Well somewhat comically, when used in C/C++ software, the compiler baulks at \O being an invalid 'escape sequence'.

It's easily fixed in software, by changing the \ to a \\ to make the slash 'literal'.

This seems to be a copied database error, because the only reason "Calgary\Okotoks" is even included is because of Transport Canada's inclusion of community names in the names of heliport and GA airport listings (a name convention not shared with other nations).

Pilot to dispatch also appears to have the same issue 372.200 vs 37.22 in the airport-frequencies.csv download

Website info is wrong, the website should be https://www.aldingaaviation.com.au , Adelaide Biplanes are a school and tenant of the airfield amongst other business across the airfield.

The gps_code for this airport is "1E6" but the FAA Sectional Chart clearly shows that the LID for this airport is "2NR2". The gps_code of "1E6" is not found in the Garmin or Jeppesen databases. The local_code is correct but the gps_code should be corrected to "2NR2".

The gps_code for this airport is "MLIP" which is not a valid ICAO code (there are no "ML"-prefixed ICAO airport codes), is not a valid Garmin or Jeppesen GPS airport code, and does not appear in the airport's Wikipedia article:

The FAA LID listed in local_code "1Q9" is correct as is the iata_code "MIJ".

However, the gps_code should be corrected to "1Q9" because that is what will pull up the airport in Garmin or Jeppesen etc. navigation databases.

Does this airfield actually exist?? The location is a long way from the town of Yea, and is in a narrow wooded valley. It's inconceivable that there could be an airfield there. Close to Yea is the Yeaburn airfield YYEA which is visible on the satellite images.

The correct runways are 15 - 33 (and not 14 - 32 as shown).

If IFR (TACAN equipped) climb/descend to FL60 and proceed to IAF (WENDY), upon reaching start TACAN or ILS approach.

- If IFR (Non TACAN equipped) climb/descend to 4700' and proceed to GP NDB, upon reaching start NDB approach.
